Purpose : Silicones are used as biomedical materials because of their excellent biocompatibility and gas permeability. We synthesized applicable silicone, and utilized to the contact lens in this study.
Methods : Acrylate-PDMS prepolymer was prepared by reacting PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) with HEMA(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate). And then phenyltrimethoxysilane are used with ratio. We dropped HCl by a catalyst, and neutralized catalyst to NA2CO3. Moreover MgSO4 are used to DIW removal.
Results : We confirmed modification of acrylate and phenylÀÌ Modification in only dimethylsiloxane by FT-IR.
Conclusions : We judged that have to be apply to functional contact lens used to conventional contact lens with hydrophile property.
